Andrea was born in Budapest, Hungary. She first studied painting and art-history at the University of Costa Rica,San José. She also worked for the National Theater of Costa Rica, first as a scenic artist, later as a designer.
She graduated at Eötvös Lóránd, Faculty of Human Sciences, in Budapest (HU). Got her MA in History and Philosophy of Art, has a PhD in History and Theory of Theater. Her book "Theater Design at the Turn of the Century" was published by the Hungarian Theater Institute.
In line with her theoretical work she got involved with underground theater, dance-theater, rock-scene, and multimedia experiments with different Hungarian an foreign groups. As one of the founders of the Pankrator Ballet Action Group, created art-performances and happenings in the turn of the 80’s-90’s.
She works as a professional theater-designer since 1991,having credit in more than 150 productions in Hungary and abroad / like England,Denmark, Czeh Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Korea, Japan, Filippines, US/,including many world-openings.

She was also nominated many times both in Hungary and other countries.
She designed „non-replica” costumes for several different „Miss Saigon” productions around the world for Cameron Mackintosh ( in Denmark,Sweden,Filippines,Hungary).
Frank Wildhorn choose her to design the original sets and costumes for the world-premiere of his musical „Carmen”, which opened in Prague in 2008 (produced by her costume and set company). It opened in Seoul in 2013, in Tokyo in 2014."Carmen" is scheduled to have an opening in Broadway.In 2009 designed non-replica sets and costumes for "Spring Awakening",opening in Budapest .In 2010 designed and produced costumes for the world-opening family musical in Vienna "Sommernachtstraum". In 2011 was working on a new version for Elton John’s „Aida” sets and costumes for Prague, canceled.
She also manages her costumes and set production company ANDULÍN .She is looking for new challenges both as a designer, and a costume- and set producer.
Andrea took part in in different group-exhibitions with her paintings. In 2004 had an individual exhibition as a designer titled DE/SIGNS. She also keeps creating paintings and artworks and taking part in experimental projects and art-exhibitions.
